| NATIONAL RAIL
A selection of trains in the UK. The National Rail network is divided up into private operating companies, each with it's own train types and colour schemes. The Gatwick Express usually features airlines operating into Gatwick Airport on some of their trains, including Continental, Delta and Emirates. The East Coast Mainline was operated by GNER in 2007. Since then the franchise was awarded to National Express, who somehow managed to rack up a huge debt, so excessive that the Government took it away from them and temporarily nationalised the company. In other words it is now owned by us, the tax payers. The trains are now marked 'East Coast'. Click on photo to see a bigger image. There is a 'Slideshow' button if you wish to use it. |
